Training sessions for current Cruse volunteers
Cruse Suffolk Area Celebratory WeekendWe are planning a conference for members of Suffolk Cruse at Ipswich School on Saturday, 2nd October, which will include a talk and a workshop by Ted Bowman, from the US. Further details in due course Awareness in Bereavement Care Course
The Awareness in Bereavement Care course is for people who have an interest in supporting and caring for
bereaved people; it is primarily intended for potential Cruse volunteers
though other applicants will be considered if there is space. The course develops basic counselling skills to be
used in bereavement support work and is accredited by OCNW at Level 2.
We are hoping to run our next Awareness in
Bereavement Care course in the autumn of 2011. We know that this sounds
a long way ahead to people who are interested in taking part, and so we
would like to give you an opportunity to meet the training team and take
part in a short session of bereavement focused activity to help fill the
time gap. If you are booked on another ABC course by then, but still
might like eventually to apply to the West Suffolk branch, do come along
- as long as it does not conflict with your other training dates, of
course. Please let us know if you are interested, and write the date
in your diary.
